Discerning the voice of God and obeying His leading...

On July 19, 2017, I obeyed God’s voice. For many, it may not seem radical but for me it was like talking to a burning bush and then being asked to build an “ark.” As a result of a God ordained step which was followed by a God divine conversation, I am honored to say I am dating this amazing man. Let me introduce you to Jeff Keegan (Rev. Dr. Jeffery Paul Keegan to be exact!) 😉

Bear with me as I tell you just a little bit about the man that has captured my heart and I can 100% say has been worth the wait.

First, he is a precious gift from God. Jeff is an amazing godly man who is a lover of God’s word.  His name means “God’s peace” and he lives up to his name daily. He is a man after God’s own heart and has God’s favor. Jeff daily lives by example and shows others that God is worth pursuing.  He is trustworthy, steadfast and faithful. He is strong, confident, courageous and yet extremely humble and has a beautiful servant’s heart. I love that he always has a song on his heart - you can almost always hear him either singing, humming and/or whistling. He has this amazing joy which shows the Lord truly is his strength.

Jeff has the gift of teaching others to love and understand the Old Testament.  It’s crazy to think but I am confident that there will be 3rd and even 4th generations from now spending eternity in heaven because Jeff followed God’s calling and continually points people to Jesus.

And then there’s me... he loves me with a sacrificial love. Jeff speaks into my life in ways that I not only can hear it but am able to receive it. I am beyond blessed by how he spiritually leads me through prayer and scripture reading. He create a safe place for me and excepts me with all my flaws. He is patient and full of understanding. He bears my tears and emotions (that's huge!) and stirs me towards joy and laughter. He makes me laugh. Just thought of him makes my heart smile. I could go on and on but I won't for now.

Oh… One more thing... If you ever question obeying the voice of God… Surrender to His leading. I promise you won't regret it.
